While we haven’t heard of any customers being arrested, it’s fair to say there may be some risks involved in using soaplands with complete peace of mind.

Strictly speaking, full service at a soapland is technically illegal under Japanese law.
If you want to enjoy Japan’s adult entertainment safely, it’s best to understand the rules in advance.
